Police on Longboat Key have confirmed a double murder that occurred early this morning. The crimes happened at Zota Beach Resort, which is the former Hilton Hotel, on 4711 Gulf of Mexico Drive.
The victims have not been identified and the suspect (s) are not in custody. According to surveillance, a robbery was attempted.
