The Marion County Sheriff’s Office can file this one under “drug problem” after a man being chased by deputies stopped to get a fix of heroin. The man was being sought for grand theft and burglary when the unusual stop happened in Silver Springs. It was reported John Stephens was tracked down by a K9 Unit after trying to elude police. While in custody, Stephens admitted to the heroin usage and even apologized to the cops.
