NORTH PORT – Michael Barfield a para legal consultant with Denvo Law Services has filed a suit against the city of North Port and City Manager Peter Lear. The suit claims that the city of North Port failed to produce electronic records in a timely fashion therefore violating the Sunshine Law. The city claims they responded to the request the same day using their the city’s computer portal.
The suit is part of an investigation by Sproat Workplace Investigations of a complaint filed with the North Ports Human Resources Department against the City Manager.
