A dress code policy has come into question after a Braden River High School student was approached by administration about what she was wearing, according to the Herald Tribune. The student, who showed up to school admittedly without wearing a bra was told she was a distraction in the grey tank top she had on at school. She was asked to put on a t-shirt underneath the tank top. It was then the real problem allegedly occurred. Martinez was told to wiggle to determine if the t shirt covered her breasts. A female administrator told Martinez to put band aids on her nipples. Martinez was notified she was in violation of the dress code that reads “wearing clothes that expose underwear or body parts in an indecent or vulgar manner or attire that disrupts the orderly learning environment.”
