As of last night, it was OK with the city of Venice to reserve a spot to view this wekened’s Holiday Parade. Any cars or chairs found abandoned along the parade route were removed prior to 6 p.m. Wednesday. Several years ago, complaints from people who could not find an unreserved viewing spot prompted the city to decide that chairs and other items could only be left on the roadside three days prior to the event. If your stuff got picked up before last night, you can claim it at the Venice Fleet Maintenance Office. The Venice Holiday Parade steps off Saturday night at 7 p.m.
