Additional information has surfaced in a strange case involving a former Lee County Sheriff’s deputy and the county’s sheriff, Mike Scott. The deputy. Terrence Guetler was accused of spreading information to other members of the department in 2015 that Scott was being investigated by the FBI. Guetler went as far as to say Scott was going to federal prison for corruption. Guetler said his information was known to other deputies, which is where he received it. Guetler and two other members of the department filed complaints with the FBI, but the FBI, as a matter of policy, did not comment on the files. The FBI however, did concluded that he information found was not worth a federal investigation.
