A partial lockdown was in place at Riverview High School this morning after a student decided to threaten another using social media. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office found the student who posted the threat and questioned them. The partial lockdown gives teachers the ability to continue to teach, but don’t allow students to change classes while the investigation was going on. A student notified a school resource officer of the post and the lockdown was put in place. Law enforcement says there is no threat and the investigation continues, being led by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
