If you live in the Venice area and have the burning desire to jump out of a plane, here’s your chance. A new business called Skydive Venice Beach will open tomorrow morning. The owner, Christian Shoemig, is kicking things off at nine a.m. He and one of his jump masters will make a test jump at Venice Municipal Airport. Paying customers will start jumping at 11. It was 2009 when Schoemig, who also operates Skydive Palm Beach, applied to operate a tandem skydiving drop zone at the airport. Skydive Venice Beach is based at the Florida Flight Training Center on Airport Avenue East in Venice. A jump will cost you about 200 dollars; more if you want a video.
