The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has released more details in the case of a woman that was found drowned in Siesta Key. Police say beachgoers found 44-year old Aimee Sue Hoover of Pittsburgh unresponsive in the water at Point of Rocks Beach on Wednesday. The sheriff’s office’s initial investigation found that Hoover and her husband were vacationing in the area and were reportedly snorkeling prior to her death. The Sarasota County Medical Examiner’s Office has yet to release an official cause of death.
