Siesta Beach lost its ranking among the best beaches in the country.
The annual list put out by Dr. Beach- also known as Stephen Leatherman, a professor at Florida International University- ranked Kapalua Bay Beach in Hawaii as the nation’s top beach for 2018.
Siesta Beach was ranked #1 last year and #2 in 2016, but fell out of the top 10 list altogether for this year. Only two Florida beaches even made the Top 10- Caladesi Island State Park in Clearwater and Grayton Beach State Park in the Panhandle.
