The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office responded to an early morning shooting at a Circle K location.
Deputies received reports of the incident around 2:14 a.m. on Friday at the Circle K on US-41 Tamiami Trail in Charlotte County.
According to the CCSO, the shooting appears to be an isolated event, and fortunately, no injuries were reported. While no one is presently in custody, law enforcement has detained several individuals for questioning. Notably, some individuals were handcuffed by deputies, with one woman being placed in the backseat of a CCSO vehicle. However, it remains unclear whether she was formally arrested.
CCSO assures the public that there are no current threats, as all involved parties have been identified and accounted for. The incident is currently under investigation, and further details will be provided as the situation unfolds.
