Shelters across Charlotte and Sarasota Counties are open again tonight due to the ongoing cold. The Homeless Coalition in Port Charlotte will open a cold weather shelter at its location on Kenesaw Street from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. The American Red Cross will be supporting the shelter with blankets and cots. Meanwhile, the The Salvation Army Center of Hope in Sarasota and the Grace United Methodist Church will also remain open for another night.
