A man who was convicted of sexually abusing a family member for roughly five years has been sentenced to life in prison. 56-year-old Lawrence Porath of Sarasota was found guilty of the abuse against a family member when she was between the ages of 10-14. Judge Charles Roberts handed down the life sentence after hearing testimony from the victim.
