February 14, 2024 – Punta Gorda, FL

Six people were arrested on numerous drug charges as a result of a search warrant in Punta Gorda on Tuesday morning.

On February 13th, 2024, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit served a search warrant at 730 Del Ray Place, Punta Gorda with the assistance of the Warrants Apprehension Unit, the Traffic Unit, the Intelligence Unit, the Community Policing Unit, and Aviation.

This address has been under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office in reference to numerous complaints of drug activity at the residence, to include drug overdoses and vehicle traffic coming and going from the residence involving narcotics.

As a result of this investigation, six adult individuals were located inside of the residence who were all placed under arrest for various drug charges.

Inside of the home, detectives located numerous baggies of crack cocaine, individually packaged for resale, as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, and Hydrocodone pills.

  • Place where controlled substances are illegally kept, sold, or used

Coedy Walsh 08/19/1981
  • Possession of controlled substance without prescription (meth)
  • Drug paraphernalia possession or use of

Cole Miller 05-08-1986
  • Possession of controlled substance without prescription (cocaine)
  • Failure to register as a convicted felon within 48 hours

Gina Vigliotti 08-29-1963
  • Drug paraphernalia possession or use of

James Whidden 11-15-1992
  • Possession of controlled substance without prescription (meth)
  • Drug paraphernalia possession or use of

Neil Puterbaugh 07/06/1973
  • Possession of controlled substance without prescription (cocaine)
  • Possession of controlled substance without prescription (meth)
  • Possession of marijuana less than 20 grams
  • Drug paraphernalia possession or use of

“I shouldn’t have to say it over and over, but here it is again; Get your poison out of my county. My deputies are watching, and we are coming for you. Right now is the time to change your ways and change your life – because otherwise, when we show up, we will be forced to change it for you.”

As deputies placed the six individuals under arrest, numerous neighbors outside applauded the end to this nuisance residence. The arrestees were all transported to the Charlotte County Jail and booked on their charges.
