Manatee County School District has a bus driver shortage and with school about to start, there may be problems getting kids to and from school. However, as the district continues to try and fill the positions a new phone application will help stay in contact with parents. The app. will allow parents to track their child’s school bus. Only parents will be able to use the tool, and for safety, parents will only be able to track their student’s bus. The application is set to launch in October. The district still needs another 10 to 20 bus drivers. Applicants do not need a CDL license. You do need a clean background, five years of driving experience and a safe driving record.
