A Donna J. Beasley Technical School bus carrying six students and the driver was involved in a crash in Lehigh Acres this morning. It happened at the corner of Leeland Heights Boulevard and Richmond Avenue. Troopers said the bus was driving on Leeland Heights coming up on Richmond Avenue with an SUV trailing behind. The bus driver, identified as 52-year-old Manuel Martinez, then made a wide right turn, and the SUV ran into the right side of the bus, The bus then crashed into a third vehicle that was stopped at a red light on Richmond. The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries…no one else was injured.
