Bus drivers and employees of Sarasota County Area Transit descended on the county commission meeting on Tuesday as the board once again took up the idea of privatizing the bus system.
ABC-7 reports the county is looking at privatization as a way to cut costs and improve service.
The commission yesterday decided to cancel all requests for proposals and instead called for a future workshop. No date has been set.
