A traffic stop on September 22 in Sarasota turned into far more than a suspended license case. According to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over 31-year-old Marcus Frazier and discovered suspected MDMA, fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, marijuana, and rock cocaine inside his vehicle. From there, the investigation moved to a hotel room Frazier was renting on University Parkway.
During that search, deputies reportedly found additional narcotics believed to be intended for sale, along with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. As a convicted felon, Frazier is prohibited from possessing a firearm. He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, manufacture or deliver, and driving with a suspended license. Additional charges are expected pending drug analysis and fingerprint results.
