The Sarasota County Supervisor of Elections Office is getting ready for next month’s general election. The office tested the county’s voting and tabulating equipment this morning. Florida law requires the supervisor of elections to conduct a public test on a random sample of the county’s automatic tabulating equipment and reporting software that will be used on election day, early voting and mail in ballots. Ron Turner the Supervisor of Elections for Sarasota County says the test makes sure the equipment and software are working and recording accurately.
