Another school board meeting in Sarasota County, and another one filled with turmoil. Board member Eric Robinson and Superintendent Todd Bowden tossed accusations at each other saying the other wasn’t working with the district’s best interest in mind. Two weeks ago at the last meeting, Sheriff Tom Knight all but said he blamed Superintendent Bowden for his decision to pull funding for officers across the district. At Tuesday’s meeting, Bowden told the board that the loss of funding could result in an almost $3.1 million deficit in next year’s budget. In was then board member Robinson said Bowden should acknowledge his role in the funding falling through.
