The confusion and fight over a marijuana derivative rages on.

State Attorney Ed Brodsky told the Herald-Tribune on Thursday he has no immediate plans to prosecute merchants who sell CBD- a non-euphoric cousin of cannabis.

The Sarasota Police Department is set to demand stores stop selling CBD, claiming it is illegal despite it coming from hemp plants that contain no THC -the active ingredient in marijuana.

While Sarasota Police get set to begin their crackdown, the county sheriff’s office says they do not plan to launch their own enforcement effort.
