According to ABC-7 Sarasota Police Department says the human remains found on Monday do not belong to Jabez Spann. Officials determined this through dental records. SPD says the remains found were a skull and femur bone. The Sarasota Police Department and the District 12 Medical Examiner’s Office are still investigating the human remains that were located in the 1900 block of Gillespie Avenue, Sarasota. Monday, around 3:30 p.m., children playing near a small body of water in the 1900 block of Gillespie located what they believed to be human remains. The children alerted an adult nearby. The adult called 911.
