A four day blood drive began at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Sarasota Memorial Hospital needs 800 pints of blood per month for its patients, but right now, barely gets 50 pints per month. The blood drive will be from 8-5 today, then 10-7 tomorrow and Thursday in the Papaya Room at the Waldemere Medical plaza. Participants get a free wellness check, a free Tervis tumbler, and an entry into a raffle.
