A Sarasota man was arrested in Port Charlotte this week after try to cash in on his ill-gotten gains.

Police say 40-year old Joseph Dillow broke into the Orin Little Convenience Store overnight Monday morning and stole -among other things- $9,000 worth of scratch off lottery tickets.

The next day, Dillow was spotted at a number of convenience stores in Port Charlotte, trying to cash in the now-inactive winning tickets.

He now faces charges of burglary, grand theft and dealing in stolen property.
