A Sarasota High School staff member has been fired and the Assistant Principal reassigned following an inappropriate video. School officials began their investigation after Sarasota County Sheriff’s Deputies showed them a video of a student drinking alcohol while a school officials- Registrar Rowena Short, danced on a countertop above him. That house party the video was filmed at…is that of the school’s assistant principal. The student claimed he didn’t know Short, nor whose house he was at. He claimed he found the party using a Snapchat app and took an Uber. The incident is no longer under investigation and further action will not be taken by law enforcement.
