The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 39 people on a variety of charges.
These range from burglary to homicide.
The sheriff’s office calls all this part of Operation ShortStop.
It describes it as a 20-day “targeted effort to prevent crime and enhance community safety.”
It also says it has sought to address criminal activity “within the general borders of Honore east to Beneva Road and between Webber and Proctor roads in Sarasota.”
