Sarasota County leaders have come up with 33 million dollars to commit to several projects, including the northern extension of the Legacy Trail, the new Venice Library, and south county courthouse improvements. The Herald Tribune says the county leaders found the money, after a workshop on Wednesday looking at projects that needed the money. So, they’ve identified $8.6 million dollars for the plan to extend the Legacy Trail. The money for that would come from park impact fees, neighborhood parkland money, and mobility fees. The Commission found $10 million for the construction of the Venice library, and $14.6 million for the upgrades planned to the south county courthouse and administration building.
