A summit hosted by Sarasota County about the issues affecting area waterways and pollution is set for June.
The summit was created by County Commissioner Christian Ziegler.
He told the Herald-Tribune the June 5th event will address things that the county and other local municipalities have done to not only create cleaner water, but what they have done to reduce pollution and red tide.
The summit is on June 5th at the Riverview High School Auditorium. Anyone who wants to attend has to register at scgov.net/waterqualitysummit.
