First Responders from Sarasota County are in North Carolina right now helping with recovery efforts. This morning, more firefighters headed to the state where Hurricane Florence made landfall last week. They’re purpose is to go up there to relieve six other First Responders that have been in North Carolina since last Tuesday.Once the set of six firefighters with the fire department get to North Carolina they’ll be there for seven days, running 9-1-1 calls and helping with water rescues.
