The Sarasota County School District announced Monday the new principal for Venice Middle School for this upcoming school year.
Tomas Dinverno will move from Tuttle Elementary to Venice Middle starting July 1st, pending School Board approval. Venice Middle’s former principal, Karin Schmidt, retired from the school district earlier this spring.
Dinverno joined Sarasota County Schools in 2003 when he worked at North Port High School as a Spanish teacher, data coach, department chair and assistant principal. Dinverno became principal of Tuttle Elementary in 2014.
