Sarasota County Schools is conducting its annual climate survey for students, parents and employees this week.
The survey will stay live through the 20th at www.sarasotacountyschools.net.
Among the sample statements they are asking parents to rate, include, “As a parent, I feel welcomed when I visit my child’s school,” and “I am informed about my child’s academic expectations and progress.” Parents are asked to rate various statements on a scale of “Strongly Agree” to “Strongly Disagree.”
Superintendent Todd Bowden told the Herald-Tribune the surveys helped the district “compare trends” at schools and district-wide, rather than simply understanding how people feel on an annual basis.
