The Sarasota County School Board is trying to avoid a repeat of 2018, which was filled with contentious battles and inflammatory rhetoric.

One of the goals of new board chair Jane Goodwin was to get the board to work together better- so last week, all five board members sat down for an informal personality test, to hopefully bring the board together to highlight their similarities.

Once the topic turned to why the board was divided, though, the fireworks once again began.

Three of the board members blame Bridget Ziegler and Eric Robinson, claiming the pair are propping up charter schools and vouchers, and are anti-public education.
