SARASOTA COUNTY- Sarasota County has ranked as one of the healthiest counties in all of Florida. Manatee and Charlotte counties have also ranked high- in the top third of 67 Florida locales, ranking 21st and 22nd, respectively.
The study is based off data from the Robert Wood Foundation and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute.
Sarasota County’s rank stems from easy access to exercise opportunities, and its low number of preventable hospital stays.
