A violent family altercation that led to a shooting last month has now led to charges being filed against one man. This week, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office arrested Douglas Blanco, who they say shot his son in law back on January 29th. Police say Blanco shot Samuel Marx inside a home on Beneva Woods Circle after saying he wanted him “out of the house.” Blanco allegedly fired two shots at Marx, hitting him once. He is now charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.
