Sarasota County is turning to the public for help in naming three new nature preserves. The lands due to be named are adjacent to the T. Mabry Carlton Jr. Memorial Reserve, including the Churchill Rang, Jordyn Holdings and Carlton Ranch sites. County staff is holding a meeting tonight from 530-630 at the County Administration Building. There, officials will go over maps, aerial photos, review habitat types and spotted wildlife and plant species, as well as the history of the sites. Then, anyone attending is welcome to submit name suggestions.
