A Sarasota County girl and her parents are taking on big tobacco.

Erin and Jared NesSmith and their daughter are suing Altria, claiming the tobacco giant violated federal racketeering laws by “purposely exploiting adolescents and getting them hooked” on vape products.

The couple claim their teenage daughter who is 15, is addicted to JUUL and now suffers from seizures because of a complication of nicotine ingestion. The girl began using the electronic cigarettes last year.
