As part of his annual review, the Sarasota County Board of Education last night rated Superintendent Todd Bowden a 2.7 out of 5.
That grade rates out Bowden as between ‘developing’ and ‘effective.’
The board also had a chance to fire the superintendent with a no-confidence vote, but chose to keep him on and even discussed raising his base salary.
School Board Chair Bridget Ziegler told ABC-7 the year has seen “crisis after crisis after crisis,” the most recent being ongoing tension between Bowden and the board and Sheriff Tom Knight over a school safety plan.
