Police are trying to determine whether an ambulance crew was targeted with gunshots during an early morning call. Sarasota police spokeswoman Genevieve Judge said that a crew from the Sarasota County Fire Department responded to a call around 4 a.m. this morning. A resident at the address told the crew they didn’t call them. After the crew returned to the ambulance, someone fired a shot at the vehicle. At least two bullets struck the ambulance. No one was injured.
