Florida parents shopping for the new school year are getting a slimmed down back-to-school tax holiday.

The tax holiday kicked off at 1201 this morning and will last the entire weekend.

Three years ago, the back-to-school tax holiday lasted 10 days. Shoppers won’t have to pay state or local sales taxes on clothes worth $60 or less and on school supplies worth $15 or less. In 2014 and 2015, shoppers could buy clothing worth up to $100 without paying taxes.

Legislators this year also eliminated a tax break for computers and computer related accessories. Last year, consumers were allowed to avoid paying sales tax on computers costing $750 or less.
