Concrete replacement and asphalt resurfacing is progressing on the island of Venice for the City’s Road Bond Resurfacing Project. The contractor will be removing the old asphalt pavement and installing new asphalt pavement over the next two weeks. The City of Venice is asking the public to be aware that any private improvement such as landscaping or sprinkler heads directly against the roadway could be impacted during the pavement removal process. The contractor will be restoring the area after the paving process is complete. City Officials are also asking residents to move any parked vehicles from the roadway, as well as refraining from irrigating during the project.
