Richard Riehle, the familiar face best known as Tom Smykowski in the 1999 comedy “Office Space,” died Thursday in Los Angeles at 78. Friends told TMZ the death was from natural causes, and Variety confirmed it. Riehle built a remarkable career as a character actor, appearing in more than 400 films, television shows and other projects over the decades.
