A red tide warning remains in effect for Lee and Charlotte Counties until Saturday.

Thousands of dead fish have lined the shores of Englewood Beach on Manasota Key.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says it is continuing to sample the water up and down the shoreline but the bloom responsible for these fish kills is showing little movement of coming south.

Officials say you may suffer respiratory irritation, coughing, sneezing, or tearing eyes if you come in contact with the water.
