Water testing found background to high concentrations in 19 samples collected from or offshore of Sarasota County and high concentrations in six samples collected from Charlotte County.

Siesta Key yesterday saw a huge fishkill, with hundreds of dead bodies lining the sand. That was just one of multiple locations that reported fish kills this week.

Respiratory irritation was also reported from Manasota Beach all the way down to Venice Beach.
