CHARLOTTE COUNTY – Red tide continues to be a problem and businesses on Englewood Beach are bracing for fewer customers heading into the tourist season. From restaurants to hotels, workers say red tide has kept customers away and it really did affect business quite a bit. It was especially bad in late September when fish kills lined the beach. Nnow officials warn, red tide is still in the water.
FWC found samples of red tide in Charlotte County last week.
