There’s more red tide creeping up to southwest Florida now that Hurricane Michael is long gone.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, concentrations of red tide in water samples increased from central Pinellas all the way down to northern Lee County.
The only places with high concentrations were in and/or offshore of Pinellas, Manatee, and northern Sarasota counties, where medium concentrations were also found.
Charlotte and northern Lee counties likewise had medium concentrations.
