The latest red tide report from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shows the concentration of red tide has dropped as much as 25 percent in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties.

The report says while high concentrations were still reported in or offshore Sarasota county, overall the concentration decreased in both Manatee and Charlotte counties, just as they decreased in Sarasota County the week before.

Despite the decrease, fish kills were still reported in Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte counties, with respiratory irritation reported in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
