The ongoing red tide problem now appears to be spreading and affecting waters off the coast of Manatee County.

A number of hotel owners in Bradenton Beach and Anna Maria told ABC-7 they’re seeing a number of cancellations tied to the fishkills and odor emanating from the Gulf.

Scientists at Mote Marine Laboratory updated its beach conditions report Sunday afternoon, noting dark water and high levels of dead fish on Coquina Beach and Manatee Beach.

FWC is expected to release its next red tide update on Wednesday, but Mote updates its beach conditions report daily.
