RealtyTrac has released a survey showing nine percent of American housing markets look less affordable than they have historically.

Charlotte County ranks among the lowest on the affordability index in this region.

This news follows a report from Florida Realtors that shows a dip in closed housing sales in other counties in the region.

While more markets look less affordable this year, RealtyTrac says the current situation looks better than the one during the housing bubble of 2006.

A decade ago, 99 percent of housing markets felt less affordable than they had historically.
