The Tampa Bay Rays spent several hours overnight at the airport in Havana because their plane had mechanical trouble.
They arrived in Tampa at 5 o’clock yesterday morning.
After yesterday’s win over the Minnesota Twins in Fort Myers, Rays manager Kevin Cash said he hadn’t slept since waking up Tuesday morning, landing in Tampa, returning to the team’s spring complex, and traveling to Fort Myers.
