A Punta Gorda woman suffered critical injuries in Monday’s crash in Manatee County.
The highway patrol says 21-year-old Brittany Yancy drove east on State Road 64.
It believes she drifted into the westbound lane and hit another vehicle.
WBBH-TV solely identifies that other driver as a 42-year-old Sarasota man.
Yancy went to Blake Medical Center in Brandenton. She received a ticket.
The other driver simply had minor injuries.
